Church of St. Wenceslas

In the 18th century a glass works was built in Harrachov that still operates today making fine examples of Bohemian glass.The town entered to the history as one of centres of Czech glass-making industry. Step by step the craft skills of Harrachov glass-makers became worldwide famous.

When walking in Harrachov, you can see a fragile beauty of Czech glass on every your step. You can also see some craft unique objects that are amazing for glass specialists from all the world - a glass altar in the Church of St. Wenceslas or glass bell in the Chapel of St. Elizabeth. Visiting of the Harrachov glass-making factory will make you sure that craftsmanship of Czech glass-makers is still alive.

Mumlavas waterfall

(Mumlavas waterfall) - the most beautiful waterfall in Krkonose. There are two unique giant pots extracted into granite in it's foothills, there are three more above the waterfall. They are known as "the Devils Eyes" and were created by the flow of the water and stones.

Tanvald-Korenov-Harrachov: Unique in Central Europe, the beautiful scenery of the Krkonose and Jizera Mountains, and a number of tunnels and viaducts, this is the steepest railway line in the Czech Republic. The track conquers an altitude difference of 235 metres over the 7 kilometres between Tanvald and Korenov thanks to a two-belt Abt rack. The largest inclination is 58 per mille.

1022 metres above sea level. Two four-seater chairlifts lead to the summit, whilst there are downhill runs of all difficulty levels on the northern slopes. An ideal spot in which to get a good view of the area. The chairlift next to the giant ski jum transport tourist with bikes on the top during the summer. There are several popular cyclo routes from there.

Route 2: Certova h. - Rucicky - Krakonosova snidane - Mumlavsky vodopad - Harrachov: Length 21 km

Rucicky

An important tourist crossing from which the trails can take you for example to the chalet Vosecká bouda, Ryzoviste, Harrachov, Studenov, Dvoracky, further to the Labe spring. There is a fast food stall there, both in winter and summer months. Your attention will certainly be attracted by a wooden statue of Krakonos.

Dvoracky

The Dvoracky mountain cottage sits at an altitude of 1140 metres above the sea level between Lysa Mountain and Kotel Mountain. Dvoracky was biult in 1707 and nowadays its visited for its home baking, home cooking and mountain specialties. The renowned Bohemian trade route that was known as far as the 10th century ran past Dvoracky.

The Czech - Polish path of friendship

Krkonoše

A ridge hhiking and skiing trail that symbolically unites the Czech and Polish sides of the Krkonose Mountains. It begins in the west at the crossing of paths beaneath Tvaroznik and passes along the main border ridge of the Krkonose Mountains over the Snezna Hollow and Snezka Mountain to Pomezni Cabin. The track is 28 km in length and runs through the most highly-valued areas of the Krkonose Mountains. Almost the entire path runs above the forest-line.

New heated bob-sleigh run in Harrachov offers exciting experience for children from the age of two to adults of any age. According your choice you can ride either single, or in doubles with your children or friends. It's located near the centre of the town in "Anenske" valey and it is long 700 m with two tunels and 17 bends.
